fuzzy like peaches

You know what's awesome? Looking in the attic and finding out that you have floss the exact same shade as the cloth you want to sew on. Invisible stitches, chyeahh.

That fuzzy cloth used to be a sweater thing. I'm making it into something kooky and vintage, you know, the kind you can't really decide about? Kind of ugly but awesome at the same time.

This scarf? I cut up a sweatshirt into strips, and then crocheted it. I was deciding between a scarf, a rug, or potholders. I went with the scarf. Still thinking about it, since it leaves little bits of fluff all over my clothes.

I like my room in the late afternoon. The light is perfect, and I just want to sit there and think about things.

Like, how strange is my expression here?

Our forevers go together.

swoon sunday

I have no words.

(also the price makes me hyperventilate)

so i wait for you

I found a lot of this perfect golden-colored faux leather in the attic. I think my mom used it to make book covers or something. Anyway, I thought it would be nice if I cut them into leaf shapes... and then I wondered what to do about them for a few days, and then I had an idea.

I made a bracelet. And it is now my new favorite bracelet in all the world:

It looks particularly lovely with my nails. Seafoam green, rather messily applied.

Now my brain is practically spilling over with ideas. Leaves? Smaller leaves! Multitudes of leaves! Feathers! Flowers. Owls! No, skulls. Skull owls! ...wait, what?

A friend of ours had his film developed and this came out! It's my sister and I. I love this so much, for some reason we look so... calm. Ha.
I'm going to print it out really huge and hang it up in my room.

"Great minds, are like mine."

just looking around

Man, I love the internets.

I have been wanting a pair of motorcycle boots for ages, and these are just perfect. Too bad the price is just gastronomical.

I think these shorts rule.

(via oak)

These socks ran away with my heart. Really, I'd wear them out and I wouldn't care.

And here is a photo I found:

Today I went to see Inception and it was very wow. The music was just sublime and all the actors were impressive and I loved it.

Very wow, I tell you.

tidying up

I'm cleaning my room. For our craft party tomorrow. My mom is pretty sure that people will want to go and check my space out, so...

I cleared up my table (a Herculean task):
That's Ina's beloved typewriter she so conveniently left in my room. Oh well. I made a bunch of lists with it.

I found these whilst cleaning out my shelves. I couldn't resist them, all piled into a sale basket at Divisoria. I wish everything were still packaged like this.
These fonts. I have to get some like them, and label all my things.
Oh, aqua. How I adore you and your sea-ness.

I can't even bear to unwind these and use them. I am so weird.

i know

Colored hair: I'm obsessed. I mean, OBSESSED.
One day I'm going to show up with a full head of aquamarine hair and everyone will stare but I won't care. (I'm such a good rhymer.)

Look at this. Just look at it. I love it so much.

And this! My heart, it's having spasms.

And of course, there's this photo.
It makes me think of sea breezes and mermaids.

Le sigh.

I have some super duper exciting news to share. Pink Teacup is going to be featured in tomorrow's issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer! I made a really cute DIY, so I hope you can pick up a copy! So, so rad.

My sisters and I had a mini-photoshoot for the feature. This is our favorite:

This is flippin' exciting, no? Love you.

busy busy bee

I've been crazy busy lately, working on decor and desserts for a debut. Everything is pink. It's ridiculously fun. I can't wait to show you all the photos.

In the meantime:

I still really want to dye my hair blue.

(i can't remember where this is from)

And wear sparkly high tops with long dresses:

And wear pretty scarves that aren't too warm:

A fun photo of me and one of my best fraands, Vince:

(We had no idea we had matching expressions until afterwards.Fun times.)

The other day, my sisters and I put together a fun shoot for an article in the newspaper. I'll share the rest tomorrow. ;)

I think my glasses look funny on me.

dress up

I've been obsessed with fashion blogs lately. Don't get me wrong, I love fashion forever - I'm taking up fashion design, for goodness' sakes - but I go through pretty intense phases, like that one month I got into basket making and filled all the large non-porous containers in our house with water and filled them with branches.*

Anyway. One blog I'm obsessively checking is Karla's. I love her to distraction. She's the reason I bought heels the other day (I never buy heels.) (Ever.) even if there were a bundle of lovely comfy cheap flats at the mall:

I'm even going to chop off all my hair.

Here are some other pretty things I've found this week.

A motorcycle I adore:

All the shoes on Anthropologie right now are sheer perfection:

Zooey never fails to be captivatingly pretty:

Right now I am browsing The Sartorialist for inspiration. I'm meeting up with some grade school friends and I miss them muchly.

*In case you were wondering, no, I didn't make one decent basket. But I had a good time.

..was the name of the crow in The Ordinary Princess, which is a book I will never tire of.

In other news, this is me:

How can I help it? I have a sweet tooth.

Another thing:

We put a whole bunch of things up in the Pink Teacup Shop. And quilts. Quilts are always, always good.

And then:

I'm going to cut my hair, and then I'm going to dress like this all the time.

Oh, oh! Guess what I'm doing tomorrow? It's something wonderful. I'm going to the theatre to see Cats!

I can't believe I'm actually going to see it. My mother said it was a dress-up affair, and I haven't a clue what to wear.

...still no clue.

I'll let you all know tomorrow! Love.

an aquamarine affair

I've been super busy updating the shop, and working on a multitude of other things, and I can hardly think straight anymore.

I'll try to write here more often, but for now, please visit our shop!

And you can stalk my tumblr, too.
