prepping some decor
Over the weekend we decorated a party, and I can't wait to show you the photos! In the meantime, here are some pictures from the day before and some last minute prep.

falling
I'm sorry, this is turning into a photo blog. I haven't been able to do any art lately, it's all been things for school and there's only time for a few hurried snapshots and doodled ideas in between homework and actual work. I miss making things for myself.
New flats:

Late afternoon selfies:
Polka dots and cheap knee-high stockings I always have to keep buying because I keep losing the other piece of the pair:
Midterms are over, so there's a little bit of breathing room in between now and Monday, but we have a big decorating gig over the weekend, so they will be little short breaths instead of the deep one I so desperately need. How are your days going? I hope they are golden and sunshiny.

I don't know if you guys know, but I have this friend. I take an inordinate amount of photos of him because a) it's too much fun and b) he needs photos for his lookbook anyway so I am totally justified.
Go, follow, fan, hype. He's a cool dude.

pretty old things
Last week we went to Divisoria and I found some vintage bias tape in the prettiest packaging that I'm never going to open. They were 5 pesos each, of course I had to buy some, even if I don't know how to bias anything.
There was also some 1 peso spools of thread.
They're just sitting on my desk so I can stare at them whenever I want to.

m + j
The photos are finally up from my friend Marco's and his lovely bride Jam's wedding! Pink Teacup (that's us) did a few of the details. By that I mean I made most of the things late at night and Ina did all the costing and sourcing. Dream team right there.
The ring pillow:
A hand-painted sign (my fave):
I painted some wooden Lord of The Rings shields to serve as the groomsmen's boutonnieres. The bride and groom are big fans (and they got married in NZ! Rad!). These were so much fun to recreate.
The groom and his parents:
I drew up these napkin rings for the reception, and made some 3D table numbers to sit in white frames, amidst some candle-lit lanterns.
The bride loves bunting and birds:
I also painted another sign to hang above the dessert table, and a paper string of "and dessert" to hang in front of it. Words of truth.
"After all this time?
Always."
