yummy letters

I realize I haven't posted anything on here in quite a while. School is insane and I'm considering moving this blog because of some technical troubles, so expect more dry periods. However! I am continually posting on my tumblr so you should go check that out!

Here are some cookies from a few weeks back - I really enjoy painting cookies.

trends

Some trends I can live without, but I'm definitely loving these things. I'm glad they're popular, so I get to see them all the time.

grain

I bought a bunch of things at Japan Home yesterday (art not included).

I'm planning to replace all my hangers, although it will have to be very, very slowly. Still, at 88 pesos for 3, I think it'll be alright.

I found these picture frames I've been looking for forever. I'm so happy. I've been looking for the perfect small frames to put little papercuts in.

I bought a cutting board. For what reason, I'm not absolutely sure of at the moment. It does look nice, though. Maybe I'll paint it and hang it up.

I am very content.

wedding details

Here's what went on in our house this weekend: making a few pretty things for Adrian and Hannah's big day! I love making things for weddings.

I calligraphed some thank you tags:

We had made and stained the couple's initials to be hung at the venue - the ampersand, I wanted to keep. It looks just right on our porch.

We made little chalkboard tic-tac-toe sets as favors for the guests.

I painted a sign for a little boy to carry down the aisle:

This is my favorite, a signboard for the venue. I loved making this.
These were two notes they placed in the restrooms, cute:

Thank-you cards to the sponsors were placed in potted plants. Ina did the text layout and I did the lettering, 'cause we're a perfect team like that.

5 points to Gryffindor

I made some straw flags for a fictional party I'm having. I think they're cute.

I can't get enough of lettering; I'm writing every day. I think I've found my dream job. It's not yet paying, but I'll get there.

I'll never get over stripy straws.
